As Captain of Lee-on-the-Solent Golf Club I welcome you to our website. It
is a great honour and privilege for me to have been elected for the year
2010.
Our club was founded in in 1905, and many improvements over the years have
ensured that the course remains a good test for all standards of golfers.
The five par three holes have proved a challenge to many a good card, and in
the teeth of a strong Southwesterly you can forget you are actually one-mile
inland when driving into the breeze! It is a course that you never tire of
playing, and it's a course that will not tire you. A comfortable walking
course, but still requiring thought and planning in order to score well,
which both high and low handicappers will find most enjoyable. It has
produced over the years many fine golfers.
Our modern Clubhouse provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere in which
to relax after a good game, and also for the many regular social events
which we hold. We also welcome visiting players in the hope that they will
enjoy a challenging game followed by a celebratory drink in the Clubhouse.
The franchised caterer offers a varied and interesting menu to satisfy all
appetites and our facilities are available for private functions and society
visits. Our Manager, Rob Henderson will be pleased to provide further
details about these and any other aspects of the Club. Should you be
